Frequently Asked Questions
How do I maintain and clean my salt wall panels?
The maintenance of the salt wall is straightforward. As long as it is kept dry, you only need to dust it off when it appears dusty using a brush, broom, or vacuum cleaner. If you need to disinfect the wall, spray it lightly with disinfectant and dry it immediately. Keep humidity below 60 percent in the area where the salt tiles are located to prevent crystal deposits.
Can you replace salt bricks individually?
Although it is possible to replace blocks individually, we do not recommend it. We hand-pick our Himalayan salt blocks to make each panel. The reason is that Himalayan salt blocks come in different shapes, and they might not fit when assembled at random.
Can you have salt panels in a steam room?
Although you could use them in a steam room, we do not recommend it. Higher humidity levels will dissolve the salt and cause irreversible damage to your salt panels or walls.
What type of lighting options for the Pink or White Himalayan Salt Panels?
Lighting: Q-SHEETS static white lighting integrated in each panel (recommended for sauna use). Provides even illumination. Easy to install and field modifiable. Multiple color temperature options. Max number of sheets per 96W circuit: 18W - 5 sheets; 26W - 3 sheets. 3 step MacAdam ellipse binning. UL Listed.
What type of electrical installation is needed?
Our Himalayan salt walls and salt panels require 110v electrical circuits.
Can they be exposed to water and humidity?
No. Because rock salt is hygroscopic, it absorbs moisture from the air. To avoid irreversible damage to your Himalayan salt panels or walls, you should keep the humidity below 60 percent in the salt tiles area.
Why do Himalayan Salt Bricks come in different colors?
The deepness of the Himalayan salt color depends on how many minerals run through it. White Himalayan salt (the rarest variety) is the freest from impurities, while added minerals give pink Himalayan salt its rosy glow.
